This Maria Magdalena I made for my very dear friend Elia. One day we would go for a walk in the Troödos mountains.
But I fell of the stairs and broke an ankle. She took me in her home and took care of me so well. At Christmas 2017 I brought her this icon and knew she would love it. And then we went for a beautiful day in Troödos.

I'm so grateful and happy to have this very beautiful Maria with me in my home. She's so strong. I love her colours and her size. She looks sad, but steady and strong in the way she sits and shines. Jeannette is a real talent and has a good taste. I feel honoured that she made it to me. Such a valuable present from a great friend.
